Well, this is my first critique and i'll try to be clear, since my english sucks, and this keyboard is not very good <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a…" width="19" height="19" alt="" title="Sweating a little..."/>
When i first saw this thumbnail, the color contrast blew me away.
How the backround seems to fade away when the distance becomes larger and the color contrast of the clouds and the whole lightning/shading of the piece is magnificent!
The rustic details on the mountains and landscape in general makes this piece looks like a oil painted portrait, and i can see mist too in the last mountain.
The details on Alex's fur are totally amazing, you must be proud of it, you did a lot of shapes on it making it look very very very realistic.
The river flowing through the valley is really nice, you did the little trees on the river too, what else could i point? This is just beautiful, excellent use of the color, lightning, shading and contrast, congratulations.
